Lake home and property management services for the Texas Highland Lakes region

Our affiliated company, Your Front Desk Services, LLC (YFDS), provides full property management services. A few questions about YFDS’s  property management services are listed below, followed by answers from YFDS:

Q: Will my home hold its value and stay in good shape?

YFDS: Absolutely. We’ve learned that our homes stay in better shape than those that are not rented-out through our lake home rental service. Our management services include taking care of issues related to home deterioration, such as pipes breaking during the winter months, and so forth. Our homes are consistently cleaned and repaired. The yards are maintained on a weekly basis, except for the months of December and January [when plant-life is dormant]. Our property managers take a preventative – versus a reactive -  approach to property management.

The home renters pay for the cleaning, and we require substantial deposits to cover any breakage.

Q: At what price can I expect to rent the home, and when can I use the home?

YFDS: The homeowner is at complete control of the schedule. Typically, homes will rent 80 to 140 days per year. This all depends on how many days the owner would like to rent out the home, and when he or she would like to use it. The rental fees range from US$275 per day/night to US$650 per day/night, depending on the size, age, and location of the home and property.

Q: Any extra tips?

YFDS: Remember that waterfront property is limited, and has always held its value through economic ‘ups’ and ‘downs’.
