The area is also known as a segment of the Texas Hill Country region; the Texas Highland Lakes region covers a total of 1800-sq-miles, boasting beautiful countryside hills and lakes, making it a perfect vacation getaway spot, or retirement location. Lake LBJ, where we’re based, is a one-hour drive from Austin (well beyond Lake Travis), one and a half-hour drive from San Antonio, four-hour drive from Houston, and a three and a half-hour drive from Dallas.
